15– 16 November - This case is really starting to get
confusing. Word from London is that Ally's been active in London! Apparently, she forced a cameraman there to follow her about and film her in the act of murdering six people! Now that's a scary
thought! I haven't seen the videotaped interview conducted by Scotland Yard's CID people with him yet. But from what I'm told, he graphically tells what happened. It's also apparent that
Ally Farson does not like me very much! Ed called me in his office and told me that there are excerpts in the interview with the cameraman where he relates how Ally taunts me and dares me to find
her! (I will find you, Farson!) I guess that she also refers to me as "Dudley Do Right" and does a pretty fair impersonation of him as well!
Well, this might be the break I
need. Serial killers have a tendency to want someone to catch them, and they begin to attempt to outwit their pursuers. I hope to find out more. Hey, with today's Internet and rapid
communications, anything's possible!
Had more interviews with witnesses. Generally, not much else that's new. No, that's not really true. None of the witnesses at
Monarch Beach Market actually saw Farson commit murder! What's even more interesting is the fact that all the witnesses were standing or sitting no more than 100 feet away from crimes, and yet no one
saw the actual event take place. Now, that's disturbing!
16 – 18 November I've been getting migraines again! I haven't had migraines since the Sunset Slasher case. I guess it's
from watching the video sent in from Scotland Yard. Jesus! Those Limeys's are acting like I was the cause of all of this! My name was brought up a number of times (i.e., "Who's
DeLima?" "Why is she so mad at him?" "Do they know each other?") I found myself really getting upset by all of this, although I should know better not to. Anyway, hearing the comments
made about me made me squirm.
19 November I went and had dinner with Sis tonight. When we'd finished, she was having a nip of brandy that I'd brought (Christian Brothers, of course!) and I
was drinking my coffee. She enquired about the how the investigation was coming along, and I proceeded to tell her. When I got to the part about how Farson was taunting me in London, I broke
down! I couldn't believe it! My God, I'm too old for such nonsense! But, Sis understood, and let me cry myself out. I'd never told her how much I really hate being a Cop! I did
tonight, and it was kind of cleansing in a way. She understood how scared I was growing up, with Dad drinking and all. Anyway, she suggested that I take a leave of absence and maybe contacted the
Department's shrink for some therapy. I told her that I'd have a vasectomy without anesthesia first before I'd ever go to a shrink. I know she means well, though. This case is really
getting to me (Goddamn you, Ally Farson!)
20 November Well, Thanksgiving is around the corner, but no end in sight for this investigation. Forensics has picked up a lot of clues on
the Monarch Bluffs, in the clothing store, in front of the market and in the alley behind the market that links Ally Farson to the murder scenes. But, once again, I have this gut instinct that
something isn't right with all of this! Serial killers are usually pretty careful about not getting caught right away, while Ally Farson is down right brazen about it! And just because clothing
fiber, hair and such were found in the vicinity, it doesn't necessarily mean that she's the killer! (There it is, I've gone and said it: I'm beginning to think that someone else may be involved.
Or, Ally Farson had an accomplice, or…) God, I've got to get out of this line of work!
21 November finished up the synopsis of the entire investigation, with the interview and everything.
I'm hoping that corpse number one (if there is one) surfaces soon. We've found four bodies since this began, but none were related to this. One was a junkie who OD'd another a bum who died of
exposure from passing out during a cold spell, another was a suicide (or was it?) from drowning, and the last was a stabbing which was gain motivated. What happened to Farson's first cameraman?
Or, did the first cameraman simply do the "shoot" for Ally, and then quit or get fired? There's got to be an answer to all of this!
22 November Ed called today, and told me that I should
be ready to leave for London in a moment's notice. He also said that he has something to talk to me about. When I asked what it was, he hemmed and hawed, and told me that it was a personal matter
involving me, and he wanted to talk to me about it in private. God, I hate that! It's like when my Dad used to call me into the house, saying he wanted to talk to me, and I'd get so scared…
