Lawsuit filed against
SHADOWMAN Productions

(AFN)  The parents of one of the victims murdered by Ally Farson have filed suit to prevent the release of the edited footage of the tapes shot by Farson when she committed the murders.

Allen and Louise Hilliard, parents of the murder victim Carol Hilliard, said in a prepared statement that they were appalled that SHADOWMAN Productions would consider releasing edited footage of actual murders for viewing by the public.  One scene is purported to show the murder of their daughter.

"Our daughter was viciously murdered by this monster.  The pain and suffering we have felt by this has left us emotionally and physically exhausted.  Knowing that this putrid film she made of our daughter's murder, and the murders of the other victims, is going to be shown in theaters to make a profit for this company disgusts us, and we intend to prevent its release.

The attorney for the Hilliard's, Mark Vanderbeer, stated that although his clients respect the Constitution, and believe in the 1st and 4th Amendments, they feel SHADOWMAN Productions insistence on releasing the movie to "inform the public" is just a disguise to exploit the film for profit by capitalizing on the public's love of sensationalism.

"SHADOWMAN's intent on releasing this so called "documentary" and statement that it will aid in apprehending Ally Farson is ludicrous!" Vandemeer was quoted to say.  He further confirmed that SHADOWMAN has refused to speak to law enforcement agencies when requested by them not release the film until Ally Farson was brought to justice.
