Witness Statement: Nancy Patton, Ph.D.

Patton, the director of the Alcohol Recovery Center at Casa del Oro in Capistrano Beach came forth with a written statement a week after Hilliard's body was found. Even though the case was not officially publicized, obviously the recovering alcoholic community in Orange County is very strong and communicative among themselves. Or, Dr. Patton may just be responding to a case of simple harassment. Patton's statement was written and delivered personally to the Orange County authorities.

To Whom it May Concern:

Within the past week I have received several phone calls from your department regarding the murder of a Carol Hilliard. This letter is to inform you that, according to protocol of health authorities, that I am unable to confirm or deny any proof of Ms. Hilliard's involvement with our facility without sufficient documentation to demand these records from our facility.

This is to remind you that all records at the Alcohol Recovery Center at Casa del Oro in Capistrano Beach are confidential. Period.

Please do not contact our facility again unless you have the proper papers to initiate an inquiry.
